**Someone who both invents the idea and builds it.**

A creative technologist is a practitioner who originates concepts and implements them in production code, holding both roles that are traditionally split between a creative team and a development team.

The value is the removal of the translation layer. Ideas are constrained by what is buildable from the first sketch, and builds are shaped by the intent rather than by a written specification of it.
