Prompt set testing is the practice of running a fixed list of buyer questions against AI assistants on a schedule and recording whether a brand is mentioned, in what position, and with what framing. It is the standard method for measuring AI search visibility.

The prompt wording must stay frozen once testing begins, because assistants are non-deterministic and changing the prompt destroys comparability. Monthly is the practical cadence: weekly is noise, quarterly is too slow to attribute change.
